Bistrot des Prés Verts à Châteauneuf

The position in the town is lovely. It was raining the evening we went so we booked inside, we knew the tables were low but they were so low it made eating comfortably a little difficult. The initial service and the food was good but on trying to pay our bill and use the discount available on The Fork app, the proprietor implied he had no knowledge of the discount and was very curt and dismissive, this discussion was embarrassing and confusing as we have never had an issue with any other venue we&rsquo;ve visited using The Fork

The food was very good at this restaurant. I have seen other reviews where they talk about the food being placed in glass jars, but it is just a different experience. It&rsquo;s not like you&rsquo;re getting food from the airport. The cuisine was very delicious and thoughtfully prepared. The wait staff was very attentive and quick. This is a different type of dining experience. It is not a normal restaurant, but it is closer to a bistro atmosphere.

Fully agree with other comments on Tripadvisor. The prices are much too high for what you get. The wine is good but your glass is very small. The owners should rethink their offer because the location and the decorations are great but the food &amp; beverages are key and low value for money.

A really lovely place to visit and pleasant,  attentive staff but the food was a bit disappointing considering the price. It is clearly pre-prepared and then reheated and served in the original glass containers. One of our meals wasn&#39;t heated through so we had to ask for it to be re-microwaved. Dishes are small in size although very tasty but generally not what we expected from the look of the restaurant, or the prices charged.

Beautiful location and we had a very nice outdoor table in the garden. Food was very good, but we had to wait 20 minutes to get a bottle of red wine to match the main dish.
